As a nation, we pay the most for our healthcare and yet we don't rank as well as other industrialized nations for life expectancy, general health, and infant mortality. What's the big difference? These other nations have either single payer healthcare or a government-run healthcare system.

Single Payer Healthcare would be a national non-profit health insurance plan that would cover everyone and would still cost less than the average health insurance policy. Even though the national insurance plan would be covering far more citizens, since it's nonprofit there's not money wasted on rich CEOs and profits.

Single Payer Healthcare is just replacing the insurance companies, not the doctors, not the quality, not the medicine. It's about taking out the complexities, taking out the nonsense, and taking out the business of denying health benefits in favor of profits.
